笔者是师范院校英语教育专业毕业生。本人就职的学校是贵州省桐梓县的一所农村中学,结合学生现有的英语基础知识状况,采用了下列适合农村中学初二英语新教材教学的教法。

第一,突破生词关,扩大词汇量,将每一个话题的单词通过播放录音磁带,让学生亲自听一下原汁原味的标淮英文发音。接下来由教师教读单词,每一个生词教读三遍,其目的是让学生学习单词的读音。最后,再分析讲解单词的用法。例如:单词trade/treid/n.贸易,买卖,交易。

第二,掌握单词之后,再讲解句型、对话、课文。针对对话,课文中的句子,老师首先范读一遍,然后翻译成中文,让学生理解对话,课文的内容。另外,对话、课文中涉及到的语法知识,我边教,边讲,还作出具体分析,举例子,讲授语法。

比如:八年级 (上册) 第一单元涉及到一般将来时,我结合教材,联系日常生活,举出实例。例如: (1) Many students are going to the park tomorrow. (2) We will have a meeting tomorrow afternoon. (3) They will take part in the club next week。最后设计几个相应的语法练习题,这种做法,学生反映很好。

第三,每讲完一个对话内容,我会在班上抽两名同学表演对话,其目的是培养学生的交际能力。教材中涉及到的练习题,我首先布置学生课前预习,然后利用早读,晚自习时间处理练习题,对于难度较大的题目,多花点时间系统地讲透,直到学生理解为止。

第四,教材中涉及到的英文歌曲,我也在认真地教学生唱。因为英文歌曲能很好地调动学生学习英语的积极性和培养学习兴趣。因为语言是文化的载体,学习英文歌曲还可以活跃气氛,加深对英美文化的理解,从而达到寓教于乐的目的。

例如《Take me, Home, Country Road》这首乡村音乐,有助于学生了解美国乡村音乐的风格。另外,英文歌曲《T h e Liberty Sdelweiss》这首歌讲的是各个国家的人民向往自由,热爱祖国,有助于爱国主义教育。在学校开展文娱晚会的时侯,笔者发现,英语成绩好,并且爱好音乐的同学也在演唱英文歌给大家欣赏。

第五,每讲完一个课时,老师会布置适量的作业给学生去完成,加强对学过的基础知识复习和巩固,按时批改,如果发现作业质量差的同学本人还要利用课余时间去单独辅导,达到培优补差的目的。

第六, 每学完一个单元, 笔者定期举行一次单元测验。通过测试来了解学生的学习情况, 了解学生对每个单元中的基础知识掌握的程度, 有效地评估自己的学生的英语水平。

新课程呼唤教育战线上的英语教师,平时要认真备课,努力探索,对教师的专业知识和综合业务水平要求较高,教师架驭课堂的能力要强,教师的角色要有所转变,由原来的课堂管理者变为课堂的组织者,由知识的传授者变为学生学习的组织者,大家面临的教学挑战性大。

第七, 为了能让中国学生迅速摆脱“哑巴英语”和“方言英语”的困扰, 帮助广大学生快速掌握正确的英语发音, 开辟英语学习的第二课堂, 营造全方侠的英语学习环境, 使学生能够真正地把英语当做一种交流的工具来学习, 笔者有时还制作课件、购买光盘到多媒体教室去上课, 达到教学内容生动形象, 活动设计巧妙, 灵活运用所学语法知识, 既培养学生的搜集信息、积累知识的习惯, 又提高综合运用语言的能力。

第八,在新形势下,转变教学思想是搞好新教材教法的前提,更新观念是用好新教材的保证。英语教师在实际教学中应自觉转变过去以应试为目的的教育思想,充分发挥新教材的优势特点,以突出教材的交际功能为主线来培养学生初步运用英语交际的能力;尽快解决教材新与方法旧的矛盾,变“不适应”为“适应”,掌握教学的主动权。提高学生学习兴趣。根据初中学生的年龄特点,起始阶段的教学要从视听入手,听说的比重应大些。为实现这个任务,重要的是要调动学生群体的积极性。兴趣是一个人对一定事物所抱的积极态度,是学习的动力,是发展能力的契机。教师应在如何使学生乐于学习、自己如何吃透教材、深刻理解英语课的性质和特点、想方设法创造乐于学习的语言环境上做“文章”。

总之,要想搞好初二英语新教材教学,不是一件容易的事,需要师生共同努力,互相配合好、处理好教与学的关系,老师要加强理论知识和业务水平的培训学习,因地制宜,努力探索更科学,先进的教学方法来提高英语教学质量。

篇4:让初二英语朗读火起来

一、英语朗读冷场之因

1.学生心理特点变化。进入初二以后,初一时的新鲜感和神秘感消失了,又没有初三临近中考的紧迫感,就容易造成他们的松懈。初二正是性格定型加快节奏、幻想重重的年龄期,常常表现出心理状态和情绪的不稳定,例如逆反情绪发展,这给外部的诱惑和干扰创造了乘乱而入、乘虚而入的条件。学生会因为这些妨碍了正常接受教师和家长的指导,破坏了学生专一学习的正常心理状态。要学会“冷静”、“自抑”,调整心态,把充沛的青春活力投入学习活动中,否则就会成为“口头巨人”和“行动矮子”。

2.初二阶段的学习变化。学生一进入初二,顿感不适,多了物理且大部分学生学得不轻松,每个学科都内容上,难度上增大,作业也多了,地理和生物要提前学完,进入总复习,参加中考。初二学习任务重给学生带来压力,学生被这“初二现象”弄得手忙脚乱,哪有时间管英语朗读呢?

3.英语教材内容方面变化。初二阶段英语难度增大,内容增多,很多学生来不及消化。(1)光词汇量就近1000个(黑体和白体),且不少单词拼写难,学生记忆起来很费劲,词汇量成为最大障碍。(2)初中阶段的重点语法、词法及诸多句型集中出现在初二,由于中英文差异,学生对语法的掌握也是一知半解;(3)阅读量增大,由初一时的一个话题配一篇阅读文章到初二的一个话题配两篇,面对这令人望而生畏的内容,很多学生产生畏难情绪,连朗读都没动力了。

二、让英语朗读火起来之对策

1.从思想上疏通朗读的重要性。英语课堂是学生学习的主要语言环境,我们要充分利用这个宝贵的环境。朗读即眼到、口到、耳到,是视觉的又是听觉的,它使声音和文字建立直接联系。同时,由于朗读中语调的升降、轻重音的起伏对人的大脑形成一种刺激,所记的东西当然要比看或写所记的东西牢固得多,因此用朗读的方式记单词和句子会对学生的口语能力、语感及记忆力有很大促进作用,起到事半功倍的效果。“书读百遍,其义自见”,就是这个道理。

2.想出丰富多样的朗读方式。一日之计在于晨,清晨是学生记忆力最佳时间且晨读有一个完整的20分钟,它是课堂教学很及时的延伸、很有效的补充。英语一周四个晨读,我对每个晨读逐一做出计划。周一:齐读已学课文。因为朗读内容已熟悉,不仅可以提高朗读兴趣,而且可以以旧带新,承上启下。虽周一已开始上课,但学生还处在周末慵懒当中,为了提起读书的劲,我首先要求学生端正坐姿,挺背直腰,手捧课本,竖立书桌;其次在“领读先生”或“领读小姐”的指挥下高声朗读,全班齐读后也可让组长带领本组员自己齐读。周二:跟读新课匹配的MP3。语音教学是语言教学的重要内容之一,自然规范的语音、语调将为有效的口语交际打下良好基础。让学生在接触本周新课文前,先模仿配套的MP3朗读,注意语义与语境、语调与语流相结合,可以有效帮助学生养成良好的发音习惯,避免自己随性乱读。周三:背诵比赛。给定一个时间,给定一篇已学甚至已背的课文,让学生自己独立大声读背,谁先背好,谁就到黑板上写上自己的名字,学生呈现一片热闹的读背气氛。我同时把黑板的名字分别写在小纸条上并折好,读背时间一到,让”领读先生”或”领读小姐”任意抽,抽到谁的名字,谁就到讲台上背给大家听。周四:听力训练。任何语言的“听”和“读”都密不可分,利用好早读课对学生进行听力训练也很有必要。听力内容主要选自这周上课的话题,这样可以降低听力的难度,学生更乐意听、乐意读,相辅相成。除了充分利用晨读时间外,课堂上,我也会拿出些许时间朗读。除全班大声朗读外,更多的是小组朗读。以小组为单位,先请上周被评上的“朗读示范组”读,其他下组来挑战,看是否可超过“朗读示范组”。学生积极性极高,许多小组甚至在课前就会早早地配合好,让自己所在的小组在课堂上发挥更出色。

3.注重评价,落实成果,让朗读这把火持久不衰。评价是英语课程标准的重要组成部分,采用科学、合理的评价方式和方法对学生学习起着重要作用。它可以在很大程度上激发学生学习的积极性,调动学生学习的热情。在对学生进行评价时,教师应考虑到个体学生的差异性,以鼓励引导为主。评价的方式除了教师当场发自内心的口头赞扬外,更需要以书面形式把它记录下来。因此,我专门为朗读设计了一个评价表。时间以一周为单位;学生以原有的4人为单位,既要评价个人,又要评价小组;评价内容有:周一,以坐姿为主评,因为学生这天的状态最差,坐端正了,精神气有了,朗读就会有声音了。每人5分,坐姿被点名一次扣一分。周二,每人5分,以规范地模仿MP3为主评,不抢拍不拖拉,抢了拖了,扣一分,表现出众者,再加3分。周三,规定时间内背完到黑板写名字者,加3分,被抽背流利者再加3分,被抽背,发现不会者,原来的3分清零。周四,听力(共20分),按档给分。课堂上,小组朗读,以观众评分为准,可在2~5分范围,小组得几分,个人也可相应几分。由课代表进行每周分数统计,分数最高的个人选为“领读先生”或“领读小姐”并于下周晨读给同学们领读;分数最高的小组可以选为“朗读示范组”并作为下周的擂主,除此之外,我还会颁发奖状,粘贴于班级的荣誉榜上。

在所有朗读活动中,教师都不应该脱离学生群体袖手旁观,教师的主导地位不能丢,而应该积极在课室内走动,发现学生存在的问题,随时为学生提供帮助、示范及鼓励,做个合格的巡视员、帮助者、评价者。功夫不负有心人,经过我和学生的共同努力,我们班的朗读又恢复以往的霸气,朗读成了英语课上一道亮丽独特的风景,英语课因朗读更显精彩。
