篇3：大学英语作文模板法利弊分析

英语作文一直以来都是考查学生语言运用能力的最好形式。在有限的时间内, 学生受制于有限的心理语料库, 无法将丰富的、基于母语思维的文章内容用英语表达出来, 所以其结果往往是令人啼笑皆非的中式英语。而作文模板在此时就起到了一定的作用。它可以让学生至少写出一些漂亮的句型结构, 因而远胜于学生毫无章法地机械直译文章。

2 模板法的不足

英语写作不是漂亮句子的简单累加。学生在写英语作文的过程中, 除了模板句以外, 仍然要自己独立造句。在实践中, 许多学生机械背下的句型结构, 在作文创作中显得格格不入、不伦不类、突兀难懂。其原因是“二外的学得并不能直接转化成习得” (Krashen) 。光学会一个花架子并不能转化为语言表达的能力。换句话说, 即便学生掌握了相当数量的词汇、句型结构、语法规则, 也无法保证写出正确的句子和文章。从理论上讲, 从程式到低域模式到构式的跨越需要语言环境的配合、个人大量练习以及无意识的使用。简而言之, 并不存在让学生短期内大幅度提高英语写作水平的捷径。快餐式的万能模板只会让学生在写作中错误百出, 比如:词性误用、搭配错误、指代不清、句子成分残缺或多余、句与句之间逻辑混乱等问题, 主要都集中在句法、逻辑、修辞三方面, 而基础薄弱的学生甚至在单词拼写、标点符号、主谓一致等比较简单的词汇语法方面频频出错。这也证明了单纯以句子为核心的结构主义作文法, 如果没有坚实的词汇、语法以及大量语块积累, 没有经过“大量可理解的输入”而形成的隐形英语知识, 英语写作能力的提高根本无从谈起。简而言之, 模板法只是提供了一个形式, 而文章的好坏还得看内容。

3 模板法的价值

事实上对于所谓的万能模板句, 人们莫衷一是。但模板法基本的要求则是一致的:即让学生记忆、重复、使用一些成熟地道的英语句型, 刻意分别标识出文章的“起、承、转、合”各个部分。这种结构主义的写作方法显然是以句子为核心, 强调谋篇布局和衔接, 在某种程度迫使学生采用英语线型思维去表达意思, 形象地说, 就是“带着镣铐跳舞”, 通过让学生不断进行仿句训练, 逐渐减少汉语思维对英语写作的影响, 形成英语思维习惯。模板法从根本上否定了许多学生的英语写作步骤:中文构思内容、中文造句、英语逐字翻译的这种完全忽视双语差别的写作方法。

虽然运用模板法并不能创作出真正地道的英语作文, 但它深受学生欢迎, 揭示了大学英语教学的一个挑战:学生普遍感到英语造句难, 特别是表达稍微复杂的意思时, 学生感到毫无把握, 不自觉地采用机械的顺译方法。更谈不上正确把握句间逻辑, 以及合理的语篇布局。有鉴于此, 在大学英语教学的日常环节中应当更加突出学生的造句以及段落写作能力的培养。首先, 在词汇的学习中, 除了会读会写, 了解基本义和常用的引申义以外, 更为重要的是要让学生把单词放在句子当中去记忆, 了解单词的常见搭配。而最重要的是学生要在平时积累以句子为主体的语料库, 并通过理解、朗读、背诵、默写英语句子, 通过与大量句型的接触培养语感, 实现英语句子的学得向习得的过渡。其次, 在语法的学习中, 同样通过大量的句子理解总结记忆众多的、抽象的语法规则, 这种抽象的语法规则最终被理解, 并能够监控英语造句, 实现显性语言知识的转化。在句与句的逻辑联系上, 应当时刻提醒学生中英两种语言的差异 (中文的意合与英文的形合) 。对于英语句中经常出现的因果、递进、修饰—解释、复指、对比, 转折等逻辑关系, 教师往往只会在阅读理解的层面加以分析, 实际上, 这时更应当通过仿写练习, 通过大量的“可理解的输入”, 让学生逐渐忽视形式而更关注内容, 句间逻辑的概念才能下意识地体现在文章中。最后, 在语篇布局和段落写作方面, 教师应当指导学生屏弃边想边写的陋习, 学会提纲挈领, 安排各段的中心思想和支持细节, 而在段落内容安排当中得反主张、先总后分、先因后果、按重要性递减顺序排列等等不同于中文的现象, 都应当在课堂练习中得到体现和贯彻。

5 结语

将模板法引入英语教学, 并不是要强调条条框框在英语写作中的地位。只是要指出学生孤立地学习英语单词、短语、句型以及语法概念, 在英语写作中依然采用中文的心理词汇和表达结构, 这种做法只会让学生的英语写作水平长期驻足不前。教师采用句型模板以及作文模板, 其最大的目的就是促使学生发展出自己的中介语系统, 在平时的英语教学中督促学生把新到的英语知识 (比如词性、搭配、语法规则、逻辑关系、修辞方法等) 有意识地运用到自己的造句和写作过程中去。教师应当允许学生在造句过程中, 由于迁移泛化所出现的意思表达偏差。要创造出良好的英语课堂环境, 鼓励学生用完整的英语句子表达看法。鼓励学生通过各种途径接触英语, 主动积累以句子和短语为主的语块库 (避开生成规则的困扰) , 学生通过口语或写作练习能够建立隐性语言知识, 最终获得挥洒自如的写作能力。

篇4：考研英语大作文模板精析

首段模板及调整方案

首段是对图画的简要描述，考生在写作时既要简单概括图画的大致内容（即总体描述），又要深入描述图画细节（即细节描述），最后还要围绕图画下方的小标题阐明主旨。首段的写作模式比较固定，考生可直接套用下方列出的模板句型。

总体描述模板句型

（1）The drawing presents us with a thought-provokingscene：…

（2）It is obvious that…as is vividly portrayed in thepicture.

细节描述模板句型

①When taking a closer look，one could see that…

分析：考生在进行总体描述时，如果图画反映的是某种引人深思的现象或是某些精神品质，考生可以选用总体描述模板句型①。如果图画呈现的是一件物品（如2010年真题中的“文化‘火锅’”），考生就可以选用总体描述模板句型②。如果是左右对照的图画或是一组图画，考生就可以选用描述多幅图画的总体描述模板句型③和细节描述模板句型②。

当然，如果每位考生在写作时都照搬上述句型，千篇一律，难免会让阅卷老师觉得乏味，没有新意。因此，考生可以通过以下三种方案对模板句型进行调整，使其形式更加丰富。

方案一：词语替换

写首段时，无论考生采用上述哪种模板句型，通常都会写这样一句话：“The picture vividly describesthat…”其实，考生只需对该句中的一些词进行简单的同义替换，就能写出不同的句子。例如，句中的名词picture可以替换成cartoon、sketch、photo或drawing等；动词describe可以替换成depict、reveal、illustrate、present或portray等。结合不同图片的风格，考生还可将句中的副词vividly替换成humorously、clearly或symbolically等。

方案二：句型转换

除了词语替换，考生还可利用简单的句型转换来变换句子结构。例如，“The drawing clearly depicts that…”就可以改写成“As is clearly depicted in the drawing，…”或“It is clearly depicted in the drawing that…”或“…，as isclearly depicted in the drawing.”。

方案三：篇章模仿

这里的“篇章模仿”是指考生如果在平时阅读中发现了哪些适合改写成首段模板的段落，可以进行仿写，以求标新立异，抓人眼球。例如，笔者就曾对2010年考研英语（一）阅读Text 1的第一段进行改写，得出了下列模板句型：“Of all the components included in the drawing，themost eye-catching is…Furthermore，what appeals to me isthat…Actually，whatthe picture unravels is presented in thecaption：…”（因篇幅有限，阅读真题原文不再给出。）当然，这种方法比较适合那些英语水平不错、学有余力的考生。因为考生如果基础不够扎实，就很难改写得当，往往改写得牵强附会，反而会拉低分数。

中间段模板

中间段主要是考生的个人阐述和论证，具体内容因人而异，主要靠考生自己发挥。但由于中间段的开头需要承接首段并点明图画主旨，因此考生在写中间段开头的承接句时也可以套用一些模板句型。

承接句模板句型

①In fact，this seemingly simple cartoon subtlydiscloses a prevailing phenomenon in society nowadays：…

②By drawing this picture，the painter has successfullydrawn our attention to the importance of…

③This drawing with a dual meaning asks us acontroversial question：…

分析：考生在写承接句时要点明图画反映的主题，然后围绕主题展开阐述。例如，2011年真题的图画“旅途之‘余’”反映的是环境污染问题，考生可以套用承接句模板句型②写出下列句子：“By drawing this picture，the painter has successfully drawn our attention to theproblem of environmental pollution，”又如，2009年真题的图画“网络的‘近’与‘远’”反映的是网络的利与弊，对于这种正反议论型的题目，考生可以套用承接句模板句型③或句型④。

考生写完承接句后，紧接着就要进行详细的阐述和论证，笔者将这部分称为“展开段”。根据不同的主题，考生可以在展开段阐释、分析造成某种现象的原因，或是对某种观点进行对比论证，或是为支持自己的观点提供数据或实例。

原因阐释模板句型

①There are several factors contributing to this socialphenomenon，The first contributory factor lies in（原因1），As aresult，（原因1造成的结果），Another critical elemem is（原因2），which causes an array of problems，For example，（原因2造成的结果），In addition，I personally believe（原因3）might give rise tothis inclination.

分析：对于图画所反映的某种现象，如经济增长（economic growth）、人口膨胀（population expansion）等，考生可以在展开段中重点分析造成此种现象的原因（即原因阐释模板句型①）。对于图画所体现的某种精神品质，如诚实（honesty）、独立（independence）、坚持不懈（persistence）、孝顺（filial piety）等，考生可结合文章主题探讨其存在的重要意义（即原因阐释模板句型②）。例如，在2012年的真题中，图画所反映的主题是乐观（optimism），考生就可以在展开段中参照原因阐释模板句型②写出如下内容。

分析：有些真题要求考生对某一事物或现象的利弊或差异之处进行一番讨论，这时考生就可采用对比论证的方式。论证时，考生既可以像对比论证模板句型①那样分别论述正反方的观点，然后表明自己倾向于哪一方的观点，也可以像对比论证模板句型②那样，先论证正方或反方的观点，继而提出反对的理由，最后给出自己的观点。例如，2009年的“网络的‘近’与‘远’”就是一道典型的正反议论型题目，考生可以在展开段说明网络是把双刃剑，在拉近人们在虚拟空间距离的同时，却使人们在现实生活中越来越疏远，例文如下。

示例2： On the one hand， advocates claim that it couldgive rise to a number of benefits. For example， people withdifferent languages and backgrounds across the globe canconnect through the Internet， which makes the world muchsmaller. 分析：考生在论述时，可以举生活中的实际事例或是提供一些研究数据来论证或强化自己的观点。由于每个人的知识储备和兴趣爱好不同，考生所举的例子也都不一样，但这并不是说考生可以随便乱举例子。在平时备考中，考生要有一个规划，围绕不同话题去积累素材。例如，已逝的苹果公司CEO史蒂夫·乔布斯就是一个很好的素材，因为他身上体现出了很多良好品质，如独立、善于合作等，适合的话题比较多。考生如果需要在文中提供数据，务必要保证数据的准确和客观，尽量选用报刊或研究报告中的数据。仍以2012年的真题为例，考生在论证乐观精神的重要性时就可以引用一些数据，例文如下。

分析：考生在提供解决方案时，既可以写对不良现象的遏制方案，也可以写对积极做法的倡导；既可以从个人角度来谈，也可以从公众、政府或国家的角度来谈。例如，针对2011年真题中的环保问题，考生就可以分别从个人角度和政府角度提供不同的应对方案，例文如下。

示例4：To advocate environmental protection， itcalls for effort from all sides. On the micro level， it isevery individual's duty to do our utmost to protect thenatural environment. We should raise the awareness thata clean environment is closely related to our personallives. 注意事项

考生在运用模板句型时，还有以下几点需要注意。

1 虽然笔者提供的模板句型囊括了起始、承接、展开和结尾各部分，但模板终究不是考生最终写出的作文。因此，考生不能完全依赖模板，而是要先根据题目理清思路，然后灵活运用模板句型，做到以不变应万变。

2 图画描述是每年判卷的重点，需要考生具备扎实的英语写作基本功，但其内容往往是考生无法预先准备的，因此考生平时一定要针对首段多加练习。

3 考生对图画主题的解读一定要准确，切忌跑题、偏题，平时要多注意积累不同话题的主题词汇。
